The Lord has always wanted us to be victorious, to rule and to conquer
Col 1:13: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness and hath translated us into the kingdom His dear Son
a. We cannot afford to live with our feet in two camps
b. God hath called us and set us apart into his kingdom to do his will
c. God desires to us and has a purpose for us in battle

1. Gen:1:28: We are to subdue the earth
a. We are the crown of God’ works
b. Created in His image and according to His likeness
c. Bible says : we were placed on this earth as God’s representatives
2. God had given Man a mandate to subdue creation and have dominion over it
3. We see in Gen 3.. the fall of man (not gender specific) in the garden
a. But God was not finished with us yet
b. In Gen 3:15 says the Jesus would bruise the head of Satan
1. JESUS WOULD CAUSE US TO BE VICTORIOUS WARRIORS
2. The bruising happened at Calvary when the Saviour triumphed over the Devil
4. So Jesus is our man of war
a. Our warfare is not our own
b. Ex 15.3: The Lord is a man of war. The Lord is His name.
1. The Bible says He is the God of Battles, Man of War, the Lord of Armies
2. Jesus always overcomes and causes us to overcome too
Ps 24.8: The Lord strong and mighty the Lord mighty in battle
Ps 89.8: O Lord God of hosts who is a strong Lord like unto thee
The Lord is our battle ax but He also uses us!!!!
Je 51:20: Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms; 21 And with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider; 22 With thee also will I break in pieces man and woman; and with thee will I break in pieces old and young; and with thee will I break in pieces the young man and the maid; 23 I will also break in pieces with thee the shepherd and his flock; and with thee will I break in pieces the husbandman and his yoke of oxen; and with thee will I break in pieces captains and rulers.
a. He wants to be able to trust us
b. WE trust in Him and HE trusts us with His Word and Power
c. It is a spiritual war that we are in (the instant you become a Christian)
1. Whether you know about demons and deliverance or not
a. Whether you know about it and ignore it or not
2. But the Lord has great confidence in His people
3. He wants to trust us with His power
Jeremiah 1:10: See, I have this day set thee over the kingdoms, to root out and to pull down and to destroyu and throw down, to build and to plant
5. Ps 78:9-11: Talks about turning back in the day of battle
a. The Lord wants us to know that He is going before us (and coming in behind us and is on our right and left sides.. He is even overhead
b. He want us to know: that we are well armed and do not have to retreat
6. Some Christians are not will to get their hands dirty… (Spiritual warfare is work)
Example: When we do house cleaning must get our hands dirty
1. In deliverance we are dealing with sin in people’s lives
2. We are CLEANING THEIR HOUSE
3. Sometimes our own house needs cleaning –Amen

7. The Lord desires to use us and has a purpose for us as warriors
a. It is an awesome responsibility to be a warrior for Christ
b. The Lord wants to entrust us with it.
Eze 33:1-9: 1 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: 3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; 4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
a. It is not our fault if they do not receive it
b. But we are suppose to tell them and show them Jesus

5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. 6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand. 7 So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. 8 When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. 9 Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul
a. We have a grave responsibility
b. We are suppose to warn them
c. And pull them out of the flames while the smoke is still on their garment
8. The Bible says that we can be cursed if we won’t fight in the battles of the Lord
Judges 5:23: Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of the Lord, curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof; because they came not to the help of the Lord, to the help of the Lord against the mighty
Jer 48:10: Cursed be he that doeth the work of the Lord deceitfully, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood,
9. The Lord has given us all that we need
a. He has given us His Word
10. Ps 149:6-9: We are to have a two edged sword in our hand.
a. It is the truth of the Word
b. Isa 58:6: We are to Fast-Loose-Undo- and Break (NOT JUST PASTORS AND TEACHERS)
1. Pastor says that believers are evangelists with a little “e”
1. It may not be easy
2. But it will make the rough ways smooth
c. Bible also says for us to Preach-heal-cleanse-Raise-Cast-give in Matt 10:7-8
d. Luke 4:18: tells us to Preach/Heal/Deliver
e. Matt 18:18-19 Bind-Loose-Agree

Luke 11:22: We are stronger than Satan through Jesus Christ
Luke 10:18: Satan is a defeated foe/
Luke 10:19: God gave us power over all the power of the enemy
John 16:11: Jesus has judged the prince of this world
Rom 16:20: And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly
Matt 12:29: We are to bind the strong man, Satan, and spoil his house
Isa 54:17: Every tongue arising against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn
2Cor 10:4: We are to pull down the strongholds of Satan
Eph:3:10: The church is to make its presence known to the principalities

THE VICTORIOUS CHRISTIAN – Vs. 3-7(2 KINGS 4:1-7
Vs. 3-4 – Elisha’s advice was simple.
It was for her to use her resources.
She was to borrow empty pots, go home, shut the door, and start pouring.

The victorious Christian will do something similar.
a.We do not need more of the Holy Spirit.
b. The Holy Spirit needs more of us.
c. As we provide ourselves as an empty vessel, He will fill us.

An empty vessel is one that has confessed all known sin.
a. Sometimes demons have to be driven out.
b. An empty vessel is one that contains nothing of self (Romans 12:1).
c. An empty vessel is one that has an open lid, ready, willing, and asking to be filled (1 John 5:14-15).

Vss. 5-6 – The woman did as she was told. When there was no longer an empty vessel, the oil stopped flowing. We must continually present to God an empty vessel, so he can fill it.

a. The results of Spirit filling are seen in Acts 1:8, Ephesians 3:16, 5:18-21 and Galatians 5:22-23.
b. The steady flow of the Holy Spirit, gives power, victory, joy and fruitfulness
1. may stop flowing when we fail to provide an empty vessel. (willingness)
c. However, the flow of the Spirit will resume when there is again an empty vessel available to be filled.

God will not force us to be used of Him..
a. He wants to fill a vessel that has been emptied
b. With His Holy Power
