First, the believer needs to realize that we live in a cursed world. There are people who are cursed all around us. Many of these people curse others. But God’s provision for his people is great! We should be focusing on our God who is our source of strength, provisions and protection and not fear the enemy’s might as Israel did in the wilderness. Believers should be in agreement with the apostle Paul who said, “If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all, how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? (Rom. 8:31.32). “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? The Bible says that it is God’s nature to forgive. Scriptures that speak of the Lord’s forgiveness in :
1. Psalms 86:2: “For thou, Lord art good… ready to forgive.. plenteous in mercy….
2. Jeremiah 31:31-34: shows God’s plan to provide a way of forgiveness in the New Covenant.
3. 1 John 1:9: says: “He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
4. Colossians 2:12-15 : Speaks of forgiveness through God’s Son, through Jesus Christ

Once we have repented and broken before God then we can:
James 4:7-8 (7) Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
(8)Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands ye sinners and purify your hearts ye double minded.
a. To submit we should be ready to listen to Him
b. Self-will is a strong spirit in the lives of men

Curses will take effect when you or your ancestors have committed certain acts which are contrary to the Word of God. This is an act of sin which will bring a curse upon you and your descendants. The demons will then try to have this curse in effect for all the remaining generations of descendents. The demons can enter the child in the conception. The world would say that the child inherited this characteristic from his ancestors. What was really inherited was a demon passed down through the blood line.

Lord Jesus I come to you in the name of Jesus and I ask you to forgive me for all of my sins and the sins of my ancestors and I ask you to forgive me. Lord Jesus come into my heart and be my personal Saviour. I give you my heart mind, soul and spirit. I ask you to fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me the gift of salvation. Fill me with Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in other tongues and I will praise you now and forever in Jesus name.
